Looks like SNOW! The weather outside is cold, wet, dark, I think it's gonna snow. Yippee I got up this morning and my house was freezing. My daughter runs upstairs, climbs in my bed, under the covers she goes. Mommy it's freezing she said. Which lead me to this blog. If you haven't already, this would be the perfect time to get it done! Ready for the winter? Appliances need to be checked for proper usage. Make sure your water heater is working properly as well as all your pipes. If freezing might be a problem, go to your local hardware store and stock up on the thermal pipes covers. Even pipes need warming! Make sure your filters in the heater are clean, make sure the thermostat is also working properly. Windows and doors are properly insulated, an your fireplace chute is cleaned and ready for use. Home for the Holidays I look so forward to the fall & winter, with the changing of the leaves to the crisp air in the morning. I am one of those people that will keep her windows open all winter long, just so I can cuddle up with lots and lots of blankets. My daughter seems to think the "Snuggie" is the best creation ever! We are lucky enough to have a wood burning fireplace, and yep its burning warm & bright nightly. So I have mentioned, blankets & a fireplaces, now how about something to keep you warm & fuzzy on the "Inside" (your tummy) Hot apple cider w/ Cinnamon sticks, hot coco w/ marsh mellow & whip-cream or a hot tottie, coffee & baileys or coffee and Kahlua (my favorite) and of course don't forget the whip topping. This is my household favorite. Baked apples with butter & brown sugar topped w/ vanilla ice-cream. Cut the core out, leave the bottom of apple intact, add tbl spoon butter, sprinkle brown sugar inside apple and bake 350 for 45min. Delicious Hope I made you feel warm in my home! City Center opened its first Hotel the Vdara, Tuesday, December 1st. After 5 years in the making of the City Center Complex, 2010 should be the beginning of many happy & profitable years to come! Many jobs will be filled during a much needed time! City Center is Amazing. I have had the privilege to experience it from ground up. MY husband is one of the many people responsible for the construction and outcome of the multi million dollar establishments. With all of their hard working hands, this Center I will say again, is simply AMAZING. With is architecture, futuristic art displays, slanted buildings, this alone will make any mind curious. City Center is a city of its own, within a city (las Vegas) Casinos, award winning restaurants, Crystals shopping mall, convention centers, media centers, more shopping, Condo Living, the center even has is own transportation monorail.
